Bag filter inspection

A bag that leaks dust can quickly destroy all surrounding bags if it is not replaced quickly. High filtration rates with abrasive particles can damage bags in a short time, if a particle deflector is not built that In turn, it must be inspected regularly to check that it has not been affected by erosion or wear. A thread of smoke visible in the chimney means that, surely, a leak is occurring, most likely caused by a hole in one of the sleeves.

SymptomHigh filter pressure drop.Low fan motor amperage.Possible SolutionCauseInsufficient filter sizing.Incorrect cleaning installation.Too low compressed air pressure (“Pulse-jet”).Too low countercurrent air pressure (reversed air) .Insufficient shaking (“Bag-house”). Isolation valves that do not close.Insufficient bag tension.Pulse-jet valves that do not work.Regeneration timer malfunction.Inability to remove dust from bags.Excessive air turbulence. filter particles. Incorrect pressure reading. Low air volume. High pressure drop. Fan and motor blades. Consult the manufacturer. Install longer sleeves (if possible). Add new compartments. Try special sleeves. Increase the frequency. Clean longer. Clean more thoroughly. Increase pressure. Decrease duration and/or frequency. Check the air dryer. Watch for possible blockages in the pipes. Increase the turns of the counterflow fan. Note the possible losses. Check valve seals. Increase shaker speed. Check the joints. Check the garnishes. Check the air generators. Check the pneumatic mechanisms. Tighten the hoses. Check the diaphragms and pilot valves. Check if the “timer” works with all the contacts. Check the output of all terminals.
